4017 “Big Boy” 4-8-8-4 at National Railroad Museum Green Bay Wisconsin Built by the American locomotive company with 32 tons of coal capacity and holding 24,000 gallons of water weighing in at 1.1 million pounds in the Big Boy a 4-8-8-4 locomotive with 12 axles it is designed to haul heavy freight between Utah and Wyoming.
