Here's the problem with a misdiagnosis... it misleads treatment! This patient was told that she had Hallux Rigidus and would have to use a morton's extension (carbon fiber plate to keep her from bending her big toe joint) and stiff shoes for the rest of her life. They said "this is just how it's going to be" 😡 SHE HAD 80 DEGREES OF MOTION!! We need to do better. 💯 Needless to say we're taking a different route.
